ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short ‘Cr.P.C.’) by the petitioners/accused Nos.1 and 2, to quash the proceedings against them in FIR No.404 of 2023 on the file of Station House Officer, KPHB Colony Police Station, for the offences punishable under Section 406 read with 34 of the Indian Penal Code (for short ‘IPC’).

2. The brief facts of the case are that respondent No.2 got married with the son of the petitioners viz. P. Hemanth Varma on 14.06.2020. Prior to the marriage, the parents of respondent No.2 gave an amount of Rs.10,00,000/- to the petitioners as Stridhan. It is further alleged in the report that at the time of giving the amount it was clearly informed to the petitioners that the said amount is meant for safe keeping and has to be transferred to respondent No.2 after her marriage. In spite of transferring the said amount to respondent No.2, the petitioners said to have misappropriated for which the complaint was preferred.
