ORDER:
This Criminal Revision Case is directed against the judgment passed by the learned I-Additional Sessions Judge, Adilabad, in Crl.A.No.91 of 2006 dated 23.01.2009 confirming the conviction and sentence of simple imprisonment for a period of one year and to pay a fine of Rs.5,000/-, in default simple imprisonment for six months for the offence under Section 498- A of I.P.C. imposed against the petitioner/accused No.1 by the learned Special Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Mobile(PCR), Adilabad in C.C.No.465 of 2005, dated 15.12.2006.

It is the case of the prosecution that on 19.09.2003 at 9.00 hours, the complainant named Akula Padma came to police station and lodged report stating that she got married with one Akula Vasanth Kumar of Adilabad on 12.03.2000. At the time of marriage, her parents had given Rs.2,00,000/- in cash, half tula gold and other house hold articles as dowry. Out of their wedlock, they were blessed with two daughters.
