JUDGMENT:

The present appeal has been filed by the appellants/

petitioners aggrieved and dissatisfied with the award passed by the XI Additional Chief Judge, City Civil Court, Hyderabad (for short, ‘Tribunal”) in M.V.O.P.No.1385 of 2012, dated 16.05.2016 and thereby seeking for enhancement of compensation.

2. The appellants herein are the petitioners and the respondent no.1 herein is the owner of the crime vehicle and the respondent no.2 herein is the insurance company before the Tribunal. For convenience, the parties hereinafter are referred to as they are arrayed before the Tribunal.

3. The brief factual matrix of the present appeal is as under: 3.1. On 06.04.2012 at about 4.00 p.m., while Rayagiri Narsamma (hereinafter referred to as deceased) was proceeding to get betel leaves basket in Voligonda Market on Warangal to Nalgonda road, unregistered lorry bearing No.AP-31-UJ-T/R-8397 (hereinafter referred to crime vehicle), which was coming from Warangal side, hit the deceased from rear side and dragged her upto 10 meters in the main market, as a result, deceased sustained muscle deep injury from abdomen to trunk level; that the driver of the lorry left the crime vehicle and ran away;
