JUDGMENT:

1. Dissatisfied with the compensation awarded by the Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal - cum – The Court of Chief Judge, City Civil Court, Hyderabad (hereinafter be referred as ‘the Tribunal’) in M.V.O.P.No.90 of 2014, dated 05.12.2017, the claim petitioners therein preferred the present Appeal seeking for enhancement of compensation.

2. For the sake of convenience, the parties hereinafter be referred as they were arrayed before the Tribunal.

3. The brief facts of the case are that the claim petitioners, who are the wife and children of the deceased-Mohd.Siddiq Khan filed a petition under Section 166 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 against the respondents claiming compensation of Rs.20,00,000/- for the death of the deceased in a motor vehicle accident that took place on 08.10.2013. It is stated by the petitioners that on 08.10.2013, when the deceased was proceeding on his Auto bearing No.AP-11Y- 1988 towards Boggulakunta from Ramkoti X Road, in the meantime, one Swift car bearing No.AP-12M-9245 which was driven by its driver in a rash and negligent manner, dashed the Auto of the deceased due to which, he sustained grievous injuries all over the body and died on the spot.
