JUDGMENT :

Dissatisfied with the quantum of compensation awarded by the learned Chairman, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal- cum-Principal District Judge, R.R.District at L.B.Nagar, Hyderabad (for short ‘the Tribunal’) in O.P. No.1191 of 2001, dated 30.10.2004, the present appeal is filed by the claimants seeking enhancement of compensation.

2. Heard Sri Kuldeep, learned counsel, representing Sri Pottigari Sridhar Reddy, learned counsel for the appellants and Sri A.V.K.S.Prasad, learned counsel for respondent No.2- United India Insurance Company Limited.

3. Brief facts of case:

3.1 On 26.08.2001 the deceased namely B.Prakash Reddy and another person were going towards Dilsukhnagar on scooter bearing No. AIS 5215 and when they reached Gayatri Nagar X roads, a lorry bearing No. AP.21.T.1341 came in rash and negligent manner at high speed and dashed their scooter from back side, due to which the deceased fell down and the lorry went on scooter and also on the deceased, as a result, the deceased received injuries on his stomach and other parts of the body. On complaint, the Police, L.B.Nagar registered a case in Crime No.494 of 2001 for the offence under Sections 304-A and 337 IPC. At the tim
