ORDER

This writ petition is filed seeking following relief:

“….to issue an order, direction or a writ in the nature of a mandamus or any other appropriate writ, directing the Respondents to expeditiously register a Zero FIR against the Petitioner’s complaint within a specific time period and report compliance before this Hon’ble court, award exemplary costs...”

2. The case of the petitioner is that she is holding Indian Passport bearing No.F2065756, which was missing along with RC papers of vehicle bearing No.AP 29 AH 8941 and HP gas cylinders. In this regard, the petitioner lodged a complaint, dated 03.02.2023 before respondent No.1 requesting to register zero FIR on her missing Passport, RC papers of vehicle bearing No.AP 29 AH 8941 and HP gas cylinders, as she need it to apply for a duplicate passport, duplicate RC papers and for new Gas cylinders. It is the further case of the petitioner that respondent No.1 informed her to make an application through Meeseva by furnishing the relevant documents and she made an application in the prescribed format through Meeseva vide 15202706231437347063, dated 27.06.2023. The grievance of the petitioner is that even after submitting complaint on the file of respondent No.1, respondent No.1 has not acted on the said complaint and not registered zero FIR thereby she is put to great hardship and is not in a position to obtain duplicate passport, duplicate RC papers for vehicle bearing No. AP 29 AH 8941 and for new HP Gas cylinders.

In view of the same, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of this writ petition directing respondent No.1 to examine the complaint, dated 03.02.2023 submitted by the petitioner and take appropriate action for registration of zero FIR, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of two (2) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, if any, pending in this writ petition shall stand closed.
