This Court passed the following
ORDER
Heard Sri Chinnaiah Bommali, learned counsel for the
petitioner.
2. This revision is filed under Section - 227 of the Constitution
of India, to issue a direction to the learned Principal District Judge and Sessions Judge – cum – Family Court, Medchal – Malkajgiri District
at Kushaiguda, for speedy disposal of O.S.No.168 of 2022.
3. Perusal of the record would reveal that 1st respondent/
plaintiff filed the aforesaid suit against the petitioner and other defendants seeking partition and separate possession of the suit schedule properties. Initially, the suit was filed before the Ranga Reddy District Court where it was numbered as O.S.No.1462 of 2013.
Thereafter, the same was transferred to the Principal District Judge and Sessions Judge – cum – Family Court, Medchal – Malkajgiri District at Kushaiguda where it is re-numbered as O.S.No.168 of
2022.
4. The petitioner herein is 95 years old. He is Defendant No.19 in the said suit. Therefore, he is seeking disposal of the aforesaid suit as expeditiously as possible.
5. It is apt to note that the year 1999 was observed as “International Year of Older Persons”. In view of the “National Policy for Older Persons” adopted by the Government of India, the erstwhile High Court of Andhra Pradesh at Hyderabad issued a Circular vide ROC.No.4790/1999/OP Cell-E, dated 02.11.1999 directing all the Judicial Officers in the State to identify and dispose of matters in which persons above “65 years” of age are involved, on priority basis. Subsequently, erstwhile the High Court of Andhra Pradesh issued Circulars vide ROC.No.3465/E-1/2003, dated 05.12.2003, ROC.No.1230/OP Cell-E/2005, dated 20.08.2005 and ROC.No.3465/E-1/2003, dated 14.12.2011 and the High Court of Judicature at Hyderabad for the States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh vide Circular in ROC.No.5226/OP Cell-E/2014, dated 20.12.2014, in which specific instructions are issued to give priority to the cases relating to senior citizens for the expeditious disposal. 6. In the light of the same, notice to respondent No.1 - plaintiff is waived of by invoking power of this Court under Article - 227 of the Constitution of India.

In view of the aforesaid discussion, this revision is disposed of directing the learned Principal District Judge and Sessions Judge – cum – Family Court, Medchal – Malkajgiri District at Kushaiguda, to dispose of O.S.No.168 of 2022 strictly in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of three (3)
months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this revision shall stand closed.
