WP 24181/2008

O R D E R :

This Writ Petition is filed challenging the proceedings

No.A/93/08 dt. 05.09.2008 issued by the 2nd respondent. 2. Heard Sri K.Vasudeva Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner; Smt. Manideepika, learned Government Pleader for Women and Child Welfare appearing for respondent Nos.1 and 2; and learned Government Pleader

for Revenue appearing for respondent No.3.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner applied for the post of Anganwadi worker and is eligible for appointment as such in all the categories and in the selection procedure, the petitioner was selected, but the appointment order was issued to the 4th respondent. The contention of the petitioner is that the 4th respondent is not the resident of Sriramulapally or

Suglampally.

4. Per contra , learned counsel for the official respondents submitted that the 4th respondent is resident of Suglampally Village. To that extent, the respondents have filed a counter along with the nativity certificate and the other aspect of the consideration of the 4th respondent is that at the time of interview, respondent No.4 had got more marks than the petitioner.

5. In view of the above submissions made by both the learned counsel, this Court is of the view that the petitioner is not eligible for the post of Anganwadi worker. 6. This Writ Petition is accordingly dismissed. There shall be no order as to costs.
