ORDER

In this Writ petition, the petitioner is seeking a direction to

the authorities to make payments of admitted bills in respect of the works done by the petitioner i.e., laying of the C.C.Roads in Brahmanapalli Village, Anthergaon Mandal, Peddapally District, worth of Rs.4,17,514/-, Rs.4,17,514/-, Rs.3,34,416/-, Rs.2,31,452/-, as per the letter addressed dated 02.08.2024 and the cheques issued dated 12.09.2024 and 05.10.2024 and to pass such other order or

orders in the interest of justice.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner has drawn the

attention of this Court to the correspondence between the respondents and also to the cheques issued in favour of the petitioner i.e., cheque bearing No.2522684509, for an amount of Rs.3,34,416, dated 12.09.2024 and another cheque bearing No.2522833294, for an amount of Rs.2,31,452, dated 05.10.2024 and the letter dated 02.08.2024, in respect of the works done by the

petitioner, but no payments have been made so far.

3. Learned Government Pleader for respondent No.6 submitted that payments will be made in due course.

4. Having regard to the fact that more than six months have lapsed after issuance of the said cheques and the said cheques have become invalid, this Court deems it fit and proper to direct the respondents to make payments of admitted bills in respect of the cheques as well as admitted bills in respect of the letter dated 02.08.2024 within a period of three (3) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If the payments are not made by the said date, the concerned payments shall carry interest @ 6% from the expiry of three weeks till the date of payment.

5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.

6. Miscellaneous applications, if any, pending in this writ petition, shall stand closed.
