With the consent of both the parties, this Writ Petition is

taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the

Constitution of India, seeking the following relief:

“...to issue an order or direction more particularly one in the

nature of Writ of Mandamus to rectify the pay anomaly and “step up” the pay of the Petitioner (S.Suryanarayana, Addl. SP) to bring it at par with that of his junior batchmates, including Sri A.V.R. Narsimha Rao (Sl.No.104) and Sri Veeranna (SI.No.133), with effect from the date the said juniors’ pay was fixed at a

higher level (i.e., from June 2023) and to pass...”
