O R D E R :

With the consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken

up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the

Constitution of India, seeking the following relief:

“…to issue any appropriate Writ, Order or direction more in the

nature of Writ of Mandamus:

(a) To direct the Respondent No.1 i.e. Secretary to Government, School Education (Prog.I) Department, Government of Telangana, Secretariat, Hyderabad to take a decision as requested by the Respondent No.2 i.e. Director of Adult Education, Telangana State, Hyderabad vide Lr. Rc.No.1030/A/DAE/TS/2022 dated 31-7-2025 for authorizing the

Respondent No.2 for processing the proposals for payment of all the retiral benefits such as pension, gratuity etc., and other retirement benefits to the Petitioner within 2 weeks from the date of the order, (b) To declare the inaction on the part of the Respondent No.1 i.e. Secretary to Government, School Education (Prog.I) Department, Government of Telangana, Secretariat, Hyderabad in taking a decision as requested by the Respondent No.2 i.e. Director of Adult Education, Telangana State, Hyderabad vide Lr. Rc.No.1030/A/DAE /TS/2022 dated 31-7-2025 for authorizing the Respondent No.2 for processing the proposals for payment of all the retiral benefits such as pension, gratuity etc., and other retirement benefits to the Petitioner as illegal, arbitrary, violative of Articles 14, 16 and 300-A of Constitution of India and pass…”

3. Heard Sri V.Rohith, learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Government Pleader for Services-I for respondent Nos.1 to 3; and Sri M.Murali Krishna, learned Standing Counsel for Accountant General, appearing for respondent No.4.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner retired from service on 30.04.2024 in the capacity of Deputy Director on attaining the age of superannuation. Subsequently, the petitioner submitted an application on 23.04.2025 to the respondents seeking release of his pensionary benefits. Pursuant thereto, respondent No.2 forwarded the pension proposals to respondent No.1 vide Lr.Rc.No.1030/A/DAE /TS/2022 dated 31.07.2025, requesting to issue appropriate orders for processing the petitioner’s pension proposals. However, no action has been taken by respondent No.1 so far. Therefore, learned counsel prays this Court to direct respondent No.1 to pass appropriate orders on the letter dated 31.07.2025 forwarded by respondent No.2 and to release the pensionary benefits due to the petitioner within a time-frame that may to be stipulated by this Court.

5. Learned Government Pleader appearing for respondent Nos.1 to 3 submits that since the petitioner’s pension proposals are pending before respondent No.1, an appropriate decision will be taken by respondent No.1, in accordance with law.

Having regard to the submissions made by learned counsel for the respective parties and without going into the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of, directing respondent No.1 to pass appropriate orders on the proposals forwarded by respondent No.2 vide Lr.Rc.No.1030/A/DAE/TS/2022 dated 31.07.2025, strictly in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
