O R D E R:
This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India seeking the following relief/s:-
“…to issue any appropriate writ, order or direction one more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus a) Directing the Respondents herein to seize all the cattle including cows, calfs, bulls, bullocks, buffaloes, camels etc. which have been illegally transported to Greater Hyderabad and in other parts of the state of Telangana and are being sold in the open sale market without proper permissions and certificates including from a veterinary doctor. b) Directing the Respondents to immediately take necessary actions against illegal slaughtering houses operating in the state of Telangana without necessary licenses and permissions and are involved in the exercise of slaughtering animals being sold in the open markets. c) Directing the respondents to immediately respond and take action on the complaints made by the Volunteers of the Animal Welfare Organizations. d) Decla
The Act's provisions allowing regulated slaughter do not violate Article 48, thus aligning with constitutional mandates for animal preservation.
