O R D E R :
With the consent of both parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking the following relief:
“…to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to treat the period of suspension from 20.11.2007 to 18.8.2008 to be treated as on duty and to pay full pay and allowances with interest to the writ petitioner by declaring the inaction as illegal, arbitrary and violative of rights guaranteed under Article 14, 16 and 21 of the Constitution of India and pass…”

Heard Sri J.R.Manohar Rao, learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Government Pleader for Services-I for respondent Nos.1 and 2; and Sri G.Narayana, learned Standing Counsel for Municipal Corporation, appearing for respondent No.3. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was retired on 31.03.2025 in the capacity of Superintending Engineer. He was placed under suspension vide proceedings dated 29.11.2007 on the ground of his involvement in Crime No.26/ACB- HR/2007, and he was reinstated into service on 18.08.2008. For withdrawal of the said criminal case, the Public Prosecutor filed Crl.M.P.No.280 of 2013 in C.C. No.14 of 2010 pending on the file of the I Additional Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases-cum-V Additional Chief Judge, City Civil Court, Hyderabad, and the same was dismissed vide order dated 19.08.2013. Aggrieved thereby, the petitioner filed Crl.R.C.No.2173 of 2013 before this Court, and this Court allowed the said Revision Case on 23.02.2023. In view of the said order, vide order dated 10.03.2023, the trial Court permitted the prosecution to withdraw the criminal case, thereby acquitting the petitioner. As such, the petitioner is entitled for regularization of the suspension period i.e., from 20.11.2007 to 17.08.2008. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation to respondent No.2 on 30.10.2023 requesting consideration of the suspension period from 20.11.2007 to 17.08.2008 as on duty. However, no action has been taken by respondent No.2 so far. Therefore, learned counsel prays this Court to direct respondent No.2 to consider the representation dated 30.10.2023 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders within the time-frame stipulated by this Court.
5. Learned Government Pleader appearing for respondent Nos.1 and 2 submits that respondent No.2 will consider the petitioner’s representation dated 30.10.2023 and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law.

Having regard to the submissions made by learned counsel for the respective parties and without going into the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of, directing respondent No.2 to pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 30.10.2023 submitted by the petitioner, strictly in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate a copy of the decision to the petitioner.
Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
