THE HONOURABLE SMT. JUSTICE K. SUJANA CRIMINAL PETITION No.13489 of 2025

ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short ‘BNSS’) for grant of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner, who is arrayed as accused No.4 in Crime No.55 of 2025 of Urkonda Police Station, Nagarkurnool.

2. The brief facts of the case are that on 03.06.2025, the de facto complainant lodged a complaint stating that her husband went to their fields and later received a phone call from one Dasya Nayak asking him to come over. Around 1:00 PM, she was informed that her husband had suffered an electric shock in the fields of Thirumani Balraj Goud (A4/Petitioner). Upon reaching the spot, she found him dead with visible burn injuries. It was later revealed that electrical wires were laid around the fields to trap wild boars, and while checking the fence, Jangaiah accidentally came into contact with a live wire and died on the spot.

3. Heard Sri K. Venkatesh Gupta, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner as well as Sri D. Arun Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent - State.
