ORDER:
This Writ Petition is filed with the following relief:
“…to issue a writ, order or direction, more particularly one in the nature of Mandamus declaring the action of the 3ni Respondent in not registering F.I.R. against the Respondents No. 4 and 5 pursuant to my reports Dt.15.10.2017 and 11.12.2017 is illegal, arbitrary, in violation of Article 14,19,21 and consequently direct the respondent No.3 to register F.I.R. against the respondents 4 and 5 and file final report and pass.…”

3. Heard learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home appearing for respondents No.1 to 3.

The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home submits that the relief sought in the present writ petition, namely, a direction to the police authorities to register a criminal case is not maintainable under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, in view of the well-settled legal principles laid down by the Hon’ble Supreme Court.
