This Criminal Petition is filed under Sections 480 and 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhitha, 2023 (for short ‘BNSS’) seeking bail to the petitioner/accused No.4 in Crime No.260 of 2025 on the file of the P.S. O.U.City, Hyderabad, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 318(4), 316(2), 336(3), 340(2), 338 and 61(2) r/w 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhitha, 2023 (for short ‘BNS’).

The case of the prosecution in brief is that on 05.06.2025, the de-facto complainant lodged a complaint stating that while staying alone for studies, his degree friend Praveen Kumar Reddy approached him in July 2024, claiming to have contacts for securing a government job. Praveen introduced him to Kiran Kumar Reddy, Praveen Sai, and later Sanjeev Kumar, who claimed to work at ISW, KTR. They assured him of a Junior Assistant post at the MRO office, Hitech City. Believing them, the complainant paid a total of Rs.7,90,000 (Rs.50,000 via PhonePe to Praveen, Rs.3,00,000 in cash to Kiran, and Rs.4,40,000 in cash to Sai).
