ORDER
This Writ Petition is filed challenging the action of the respondents in seizure of lorry bearing No.KA 38 A 4584 along with
285 quintals of rice.
2. Learned Government Pleader for Civil Supplies, appearing for respondents No.1 to 4, has produced a copy of the order dated 08.05.2025 passed under Section 6-A of the Essential Commodities Act, 1955, confiscating both rice as well as vehicle and imposing penalty of Rs.3,99,999/- as penalty in lieu of confiscation of vehicle.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the said order has not been communicated to the petitioner.
4. In view thereof, the respondents are directed to communicate the order dated 08.05.2025 passed under Section 6-A of the Act, to the petitioner and on receipt of the same, the petitioner is at liberty to file an appropriate application before the appellate authority.
5. With the above observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
There shall be no order as to costs.
6. Miscellaneous applications, if any, pending in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
