O R D E R:

This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioners/accused under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (for short ‘Cr.P.C.’) seeking to quash the proceedings against them in CC.No.301 of 2024 on the file of III Additional Junior Civil Judge-cum-III Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Ranga Reddy District, L.B.Nagar, for the offences under Sections 498(A), 506 of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 and 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act.

2. The 2nd respondent and 1st petitioner (A1) are husband and wife. The 2nd respondent filed complaint which was registered as FIR No.547/2023 by the Woman Police Station, Saroornagar. Thereafter, a charge sheet was filed and numbered as CC.No.301 of 2024. Meanwhile, the 1st petitioner and 2nd respondent approached the Family Court at L.B.Nagar and filed petition seeking mutual consent divorce. Divorce was granted on 03.09.2024 on some terms and conditions. In the conditions that were agreed upon by the spouses, the 2nd respondent undertook to withdraw the present case which was pending before the Woman Police Station, Saroornagar, R.R.District.

3. Notice is served on to the 2nd respondent and none appears.
