This writ petition is filed to declare the action of respondent Nos.1 to 3 in giving admission to the respondent No.4 into the Ph.D. course, without verifying requisite qualifications and without complying with the rules and regulations of University, in the place of the petitioner, as illegal and arbitrary and for consequential relief.
2. No representation on behalf of the petitioner.
3. Ms.C.Keerthana, learned counsel representing Indus Law Firm, learned Standing Counsel for respondent Nos.1 to 3, is present.
4. When the Writ Petition was listed on 17.12.2025 and 24.12.2025, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner and as such, this Court directed the matter to be listed under the caption ‘for dismissal’.
5. Even though the matter is listed today under the caption ‘for dismissal’, none appears for the petitioner. It appears that the petitioner is not interested in prosecuting the matter.
6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is dismissed for non-
prosecution. There shall be no order as to costs.
Miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
