O R D E R :

With the consent of both the parties, this Writ Petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking the following relief:

“...to issue an order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus to rectify the pay anomaly and “step up” the pay of the Petitioner (S.Suryanarayana, Addl. SP) to bring it at par with that of his junior batchmates, including Sri A.V.R. Narsimha Rao (Sl.No.104) and Sri Veeranna (SI.No.133), with effect from the date the said juniors’ pay was fixed at a higher level (i.e., from June 2023) and to pass...”

3. Heard Sri G.Srinivasulu, learned counsel for the petitioner; learned Government Pleader for Home appearing for respondent Nos.1 and 2; and learned Government Pleader for Services-III for respondent No.3.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is working as Additional Superintendent of Police (Civil) at Telangana State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited and that he submitted a representation to respondent No.2 on 17.04.2025 seeking rectification of his basic pay on par with his batch-mates, namely A.V.R.Narsimha Rao and Veeranna. However, no action has been taken by respondent No.2 so far. Therefore, learned counsel prays this Court to direct respondent No.2 to consider the representation dated 17.04.2025 submitted by the petitioner and pass appropriate orders, within a time-frame to be stipulated by this Court.

5. Learned Government Pleader appearing for respondent Nos.1 and 2 fairly submits that respondent No.2 will consider the petitioner’s representation dated 17.04.2025 and pass appropriate orders, in accordance with law.

6. Having regard to the submissions made by learned counsel for the respective parties and without going into the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of, directing respondent No.2 to pass appropriate orders on the representation dated 17.04.2025 submitted by the petitioner, strictly in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate a copy of the decision to the petitioner.

Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending shall stand closed. There shall be no order as to costs.
