ORDER:
This Writ Petition is filed with the following relief:
“…to issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction declaring the action of the respondents in not taking steps to provide Z-security to the petitioner duly considering the representation dt.28-08-2018 is highly illegal, arbitrary and violative of Art.19 and 21 of India and consequently direct the respondents to provide z plus security cover to the petitioner and pass..…”

the representation made by the petitioner seeking grant of Z-Security was duly considered by the Additional Director General of Police. Upon assessment of the threat perception, the Additional Director General recommended the security sought by the petitioner, and the decision was duly communicated to him vide letter dated 27.06.2023. As per the consignment tracking record, the said communication was delivered on 31.06.2023. Accordingly, nothing further remains in this matter for consideration.
5. I have perused the material placed on record.
6. The grievance of the petitioner is that the respondents/police authorities have not considered his representation for providing Z- Security. However, the developments reported by the learned Assistant Government Pleader indicate that the petitioner’s representation has been duly examined, and an appropriate decision has been taken by the competent authority in the proper exercise of discretion. In view of the said development and as the grievance of the petitioner has been effectively addressed by the respondents/police authorities, nothing further survives for consideration in this matter.
7. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
Miscellaneous Petitions, pending if any, shall stand closed.
