ORDER:
This Writ Petition is filed with the following relief:
“…to issue a writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the 1st Respondent in appointing the 5th respondent consecutively 4th time as an Additional Public Prosecutor for the Court of XVI Additional District and Sessions Judge, Malkajgiri, R.R. District vide G.O. Rt. No.571, dated 10-04-2018 as being illegal, arbitrary and contrary to the provisions of section 24 of Cr.P.C. as well to the instructions issued in G.O.Ms. No. 187 Dated 06-12-2000 issued by the Government of Andhra Pradesh Law Officers (Appointment and Conditions of Service) Instructions, 2000 i.e., and Rule of reservation for Schedule Caste/ Schedule Tribes for appointment of Law Officers R/W Zonal order vide G.O.Ms. No. 674 General Administration (SPF) Department Dated 28-10-1975, and consequently set aside the G.O.Rt. No.571, dated 10.04.2018 appointing the 5th respondent herein as Addl. Public Prosecutor for the Court of XVI Additional District and Sessions Judge, Malkajgiri, R.R. District and pass..…”
2. None for the petitioner.
3. Heard Mr.D.Pradeep, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home and Ms.Kahkashan Afreen Sufi, learned counsel representing Mr.Bathula Raj Kiran, learned counsel for respondent No.3.

The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home submits that the appointment of respondent No.5 was renewed after the completion of his earlier tenure as Additional Public Prosecutor for the Court of the XVI Additional District and Sessions Judge, Malkajgiri, vide G.O.Rt.No.571, dated 10.04.2018. It is stated that upon expiry of the previous term, a temporary incharge arrangement was made to ensure continuity of prosecution work, and subsequently, the petitioner was appointed as Public Prosecutor for the same Court, which has since been redesignated as the Court of the Principal District and Sessions Judge-cum-Family Court, Malkajgiri. In view of these subsequent developments, the cause of action in the present writ petition no longer survives.
5. I have perused the material placed on record.
6. Having regard to the contention raised by the petitioner and the developments that have occurred during the pendency of this writ petition, including the appointment of the petitioner in place of respondent No.5, it is evident that the grievance raised in this petition has become infructuous. Consequently, no further orders are warranted in this matter.
7. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
There shall be no order as to costs.
Miscellaneous Petitions, pending if any, shall stand closed.
