2. The writ petition is preferred for the following prayer:

“For the reasons stated in the accompanying affidavit, it is prayed that this Hon’ble Court may be pleased to issue a Writ, Order or Direction, more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring the action of the Respondent No.3 in imposing the restriction on appointment of polling agent from the same polling area/booth vide Guideline No 1(i) of “Dir.No.286/TSEC-PR/2018 dated 21-05-2018” as illegal, arbitrary, unconstitutional and contrary to Rule 18 of Telangana Panchayat Raj (Conduct of Elections) Rules, 2018 besides being contrary to instructions of the Respondent No.2 to Respondent No.3 vide No.464/INST/2021/EPS dated 18-03-2021 and consequently direct the Respondents No.3 and 7 to permit the candidate or his agent to appoint any person as polling agent of any booth within the same Ward or Gram Panchayat on the day of election irrespective of his/her polling area in the interest of justice and to pass such other order/orders as this Hon’ble Court may deem fit and necessary in the circumstances of the case.”

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner contested for the post of Sarpanch of Kanchanapally Gram Panchayat, Raghunathpally Mandal, Jangaon District, for which elections under Phase-I were already held on 11.12.2025. As such, the instant writ petition is rendered infructuous.

4. Learned counsel for the other side do not dispute that the challenge in the instant writ petition has become infructuous.

5. Therefore, the instant writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous applications pending, if any, shall stand closed.
