These Criminal Petitions are filed under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short ‘BNSS’) to quash the proceedings against the petitioners/accused Nos.4 and 5 in C.C.No.5736 of 2025 on the file of XIII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Nampally at Hyderabad for the offences under Sections 498-A, 406 and 506 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (for short ‘IPC’) and Section 3 of Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961.

2. Heard Mr.Zulfaquar Alam, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr. Jithender Rao Veeramalla, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent No.1. In spite of filing vakalat none appeared for respondent No.2.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners herein are the sisters-in-law of the de facto complainant and are medical professionals. The petitioners resided in China and they never had any occasion to live with the de facto complainant and accused No.1, who resided in India.
