JUDGMENT:

This appeal is filed under Section 173 of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 (for short, ‘the Act’) by the appellant/claimant aggrieved by the order and decree dated 27.10.2018 passed in M.V.O.P.No.1019 of 2013 by the learned Chairman, Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal (Judge, Family Court-cum-Additional District Judge), at Nizamabad (for short, ‘the Tribunal’) seeking enhancement of compensation.

2. The brief facts of the case are that the appellant has filed the said M.V.O.P. claiming compensation of Rs.3,00,000/- from the respondent for the injuries sustained by him in a motor vehicle accident. It is stated that on 28.11.2011 at about 9:30 A.M., while the appellant was standing by the side of his agriculture field and supervising the harvester for cutting his crop in the field, the driver of the harvester bearing No.AP-25- AA-1686 drove it in a rash and negligent manner at high speed, due to which, he lost control over it and the wheel of the harvester ran over the right leg of the appellant.
