ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed for grant of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner who is arrayed as accused No.2 in Crime No.263/2025 before the Aswaraopet Police Station, Bhadradri Kothagudem District, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 308(6) read with 3(5)of BNS.

2. The brief facts of the case are that On October 20, 2025, complainant Pattela Manga alleged that Accused No.1 (Penugonda Sathyanarayana, a “journalist”) and Accused No.2/petitioner extorted Rs.50,000/-, claiming to bribe officials to prevent her son’s arrest in a POCSO case. Allegedly, they took Rs.10,000/- at Vinayakapuram temple, Rs.10,000/- at Aswaraopet Police Station, demanding Rs.30,000/- more. On receipt of the complainant, a case was registered against the accused.
