THE HONOURABLE SMT. JUSTICE K. SUJANA CRIMINAL PETITION No.13586 OF 2025

ORDER :

This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 482 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short ‘BNSS’) for grant of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner, who is arrayed as accused No.2 in Crime No.751 of 2025 before the Banjara Hills Police Station, Hyderabad.

2. The brief facts of the case are that the Sub-Inspector of Police, Banjara Hills P.S., had received a complaint on 04.09.2025 from the father of the deceased, alleging that the deceased, Sridhar, was assaulted by a watchman and his associates near Asha Hospital, Road No.14, Banjara Hills. It was stated that Sridhar was taken into a cellar, beaten, and later taken home by his wife before being shifted to the hospital, where he was declared dead.

3. Heard Sri G. Ashok Reddy, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner as well as Sri D. Arun Kumar, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent – State.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner neither knew the deceased nor had any intention or conspiracy to cause his death and that the allegations, at most, showed only a minor ove
