ORDER

This Writ Petition is filed challenging the inaction on the part of the respondents in furnishing the information sought for by the petitioner under the Right to Information Act, 2005, vide RTI applications dated 29.08.2024, 30.09.2024 & 08.01.2025.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had made applications dated 29.08.2024, 30.09.2024 and 08.01.2025 to the respondents seeking information under the Right to Information Act, 2005 and the same were not considered so far. Therefore, the present Writ Petition has been filed.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner has filed copies of the postal receipts to demonstrate that the petitioner had duly submitted the said applications.

4. However, it is noticed that there is a provision of appeal before the Appellate Authority under Section 19(3) of the Right to Information Act, 2005. The petitioner is, therefore, directed to avail the said remedy by submitting an appeal before the Appellate Authority. If such an appeal is filed, the Appellate Authority shall take an appropriate decision thereon within the prescribed period, in accordance with law.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of.

There shall be no order as to costs.

6. Miscellaneous applications, if any, pending in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
