ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed seeking the following relief:

“…to issue an order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in imposing the punishment of postponement of annual increments of the petitioner for a period of 2 years vide Proc.No.04/22/99-BHP dated 25.2.2000 which was confirmed by the Appellate and Review authority vide Proc.No.PA/19(2)/2000-DVM(CRMR) dated 6.5.2000 and the review authority order vide Proc.No.St/20(28)/2005-HCR, dated 25.6.2005 as illegal, unjust, contrary to circular instructions and as such liable to be set aside in the interest of justice with a consequential direction to pay the arrears of differed increments w.e.f., 25.2.2000 forthwith and pass such other order or orders as this Hon’ble court may deem fit and proper in the circumstances of the case...”

2. There is no representation on behalf of the petitioner on earlier occasion. Today also, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents informed this Court that the petitioner had already been retired from service and no further orders are required to be passed in the writ petition.

4. In view of the above submission, the writ petition is closed. However, if the petitioner has any grievance, he is at liberty to approach this Court afresh. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel, miscellaneous applications pending, if any, in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
