ORDER:
This Contempt Case has been filed by invoking the provisions of Sections 10 to 12 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971, seeking to punish the respondents for non-implementation of the orders passed by this Court on 17.02.2025 in W.P. No. 3668 of
2025.
2. Heard Sri S. Prabhakar Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioners, and Sri G. Madhusudhan Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for the GHMC, appearing for respondent Nos. 2 and 3.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that, in spite of the specific directions issued by this Court while disposing of W.P.No.3668 of 2025 on 17.02.2025, the respondents have not taken any steps to comply with the orders passed by this Court, and therefore, the respondents are liable for punishment under the provisions of the Contempt of Courts Act.
4. Per contra, the learned Standing Counsel submits that, pursuant to the orders passed by this Court, respondent No.2 initiated proceedings under the provisions of the Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 (hereinafter, for brevity, referred to as “the Act”),
