ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed with the following relief:

“…to issue a Writ or order or direction one particularly in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of 4th respondent in not registering crime and investigating the report dated- 23.07.2017 though an offence of cheating was involved as being illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional and consequently direct the 4th respondent to investigate the matter and register a crime into the report submitted by the petitioner dated 22.07.2017 and take action against the 5th respondent and to pass..…”

3. Heard learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home appearing for respondent Nos.1 to 4.

The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home submits that the relief sought in the present writ petition, namely, a direction to the police authorities to register a criminal case, is not maintainable under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, in view of the well-settled legal principles laid down by the Hon’ble Supreme Court.
