ORDER

This Criminal Petition has been filed seeking to quash the proceedings in STC.No.3 of 2021 on the file of the Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class at Gajwel, Siddipet District, wherein the petitioner was arrayed as the sole accused for the offence punishable under Section 138 and 142 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (for short ‘the Act’).

2. Heard Mr.M.V.Suresh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Vivekananda Reddy, learned Assistant Public Prosecutor for respondent No.1.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that pursuant to the order dated 24.08.2021, he has sent personal notice to respondent No.2 through registered post with acknowledgment due, and the same was returned with postal endorsement stating ‘want of house number’.
