This Writ Petition is filed with the following relief:
“…to issue writ or order or direction more particularly one in the nature of writ of Mandamus to declare the action of the respondent No.3 in not registering the F.I.R. basing on the complaint dated 27-06-2017 given by the petitioner to the respondent No.3 is illegal,arbitrary and violation article 14,19 and 21 of the constitution of India and violation of Principles of natural justice and consequently direct the respondent No.3 to register the F.I.R. basing on the complaint given by the petitioner dated 27.06.2017..…”

3. Heard learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home appearing for respondent Nos. 1 to 2.

The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home submits that the relief sought in the present writ petition, namely, a direction to the police authorities to register a criminal case is not maintainable under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, in view of the well-settled legal principles laid down by the Hon’ble Supreme Court.
