ORDER:
Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Government Pleader for School Education.
2. According to the petitioner, her father’s name is Md.Baba. In her birth certificate dated 27.03.2013 issued by the Registrar of Births and Deaths, Charminar, Circle No.4, South Zone, GHMC, it was mentioned as ‘Syed Shairifuddin’ inadvertently. Therefore, she has submitted a representation dated 06.01.2025 to the Registrar of Births and Deaths with a request to correct her father’s name in the birth certificate. The same was not considered. Therefore, she has filed a writ petition vide W.P.No.2371 of 2025. Vide order dated 29.01.2025, this Court allowed the said writ petition directing the Registrar of Births and Deaths, Circle No.4, South Zone, Charminar, Hyderabad, to consider the said representation in accordance with law.

It is the specific contention of the petitioner herein that in compliance with the said order, the Registrar of Births and Deaths, GHMC, Circle No.7, has issued Birth Certificate dated 13.03.2025 mentioning the name of her father as ‘Md.Baba’. Now, the petitioner is seeking correction of her father’s name in Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Intermediate Marks memo, wherein, her father’s name is mentioned as ‘Syed Shairifuddin’. She has submitted a representation dated 24.07.2024 to the Angels’ Convent High School, Santosh Nagar, Hyderabad, with a request to correct her father’s name in SSC marks memo and the School, in turn, forwarded the said application to respondent Nos.3 and 4. The same was not considered. Therefore, petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

As discussed supra, in compliance with the order dated 29.01.2025 in W.P.No.2371 of 2025, the Registrar of Births and Deaths, Charminar, Circle No.4, South Zone, GHMC, has issued Birth Certificate, dated 13.03.2025 correcting the name of the petitioner’s father as ‘Md.Baba’. Thereafter, petitioner has to submit applications to the Angels’ Convent High School and also Junior College, in which she studied intermediate duly enclosing copy of the Birth Certificate with a request to correct her father’s name in SSC and Intermediate marks memo and the said School and Junior College shall forward the same to respondent Nos.3 and
4, for correcting petitioner’s father name in SSC marks memo and intermediate marks memo.

In the light of the said discussion, this writ petition is disposed of granting liberty to the petitioner to submit representations to Angels’ Convent High School and also to Junior College in which she studied intermediate duly enclosing copy of Birth Certificate, dated 13.03.2025 issued by GHMC. On receipt of the same, the said School and College shall forward the same to respondent Nos.3 and 4 and respondent Nos.3 and 4 shall consider the same and dispose it of in accordance with the procedure laid down under Go.M.S.No.1263, dated 06.05.1961, principle laid down by the Apex Court in Jigya Yadav v. CBSE, (2021) 7 Supreme Court Cases 535 and also order dated 25.10.2024 in W.P.No.22023 of 2023.
6. With the aforesaid direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions pending, if any, shall stand closed.
