ORDER:

This Criminal Petition is filed under Section 528 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhitha, 2023 by the petitioners-accused Nos.1 and 2 seeking to quash the proceedings against them in C.C.No.1044 of 2019 on the file of the I Additional Junior Civil Judge-cum-I Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Sathupally, Khammam District, pertaining to Crime No.62 of 2019 of Kalloor Police Station, Khammam, registered for the offences punishable under Section 498-A of the Indian Penal Code (for short ‘IPC’) and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 (for short ‘the Act’).

2. Heard Sri Veera Babu Gandu, learned counsel for the petitioners and Mr.M.Ramachandra Reddy, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent No.1-State. No representation on behalf of respondent No.2. Perused the record.

3. The petitioners-accused Nos.1 and 2 are the husband and father-in-law of respondent No.2/de-facto complainant.
