ORAL ORDER

Heard Mr.Rizwan Akhtar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.L.Ravinder, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue.

2. Petitioner is the father of Smt.Maloth Nandhini (hereinafter referred to as ‘the victim’), who died on 29.05.2024. A case in Crime No.274 of 2024 was registered by Police, Khammam Rural Police Station, against the accused for the offences punishable under Section 304-B of the Indian Penal Code, 1860 and Section 3(2)(v) of the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Amendment Act, 2015. Respondent No.2 has sanctioned an amount of Rs.8,25,000/- towards total compensation, including an amount of Rs.4,12,500/- payable at post-mortem examination stage vide proceedings dated 13.12.2024. Even then, respondent No.2 has not paid the said amount to the petitioner. Aggrieved by the said inaction of respondent No.2, petitioner filed the present writ petition.

3. Mr.L.Ravinder, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Revenue has produced written instructions of respondent No.2, wherein it is stated that the office of respondent No.2 has contacted the petitioner over
