THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE NAGESH BHEEMAPAKA WRIT PETITION No.23784 of 2025

ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed praying this Court to declare the action of respondent No.2 in not renewing the passport by keeping the petitioner’s application Reference pending vide No.1057527779 dated 06.08.2025 as illegal and arbitrary and for other appropriate reliefs.

2. It is the case of petitioner that he is holding Passport bearing No.C7313377, which was valid till 12.01.2026. It is the further case of the petitioner that he has submitted an application Reference No.25-1057527779, dated 06.08.2025 for renewal of passport, however the respondents have not processed his application and there are no court orders restricting from renewing his passport. It is the further case of the petitioner that he did not receive any show cause notice from respondent No.2, but rather it is informed by the police that there is an adverse police verification report corresponding to the application and a criminal case is pending against him vide C.C.No.12147 of 2020 on the file of the III Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Hyderabad.
