This writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking to declare the action of respondent No.3 in not considering her representation dated 18.11.2024 for correction of names of her mother and father in the Death Certificate of her mother dated 29.12.2022 vide Registration No.7624, as being illegal, arbitrary and unconstitutional.

It is stated that the name of the mother of the petitioner is Ms. Mutta Annapurna @ Annapurnamma; she died on 24.12.2022 and on intimation given by some of the relatives to the GHMC, her death was registered in the official records by recording her name as ‘Mutta Kasi Annapurna’ instead of ‘Mutta Annapurna @ Annapurnamma’. It is further stated that the name of the husband of Ms. Mutta Annapurna @ Annapuranna was wrongly recorded as ‘Mutta Seshayya’ instead of ‘Mutta Ramanadham’.
