HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE B. VIJAYSEN REDDY WRIT PETITION No.22824 OF 2025

ORDER :

This writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking to declare the action of respondent No. 2, in not considering his representation dated 03.04.2025 for release of monthly remuneration/honorarium for the period from December, 2019 to 2025 towards the services rendered by him as the Standing Counsel for respondent No.2 Corporation, as being arbitrary and violative of Articles 14, 19 and 21 of the Constitution of India.

2. The petitioner was appointed as the Standing Counsel for respondent No.2 vide proceedings No.C1/10893/96 dated 15.11.1996 issued by respondent No.2 for a period of three years from 15.11.1996. Subsequently, the tenure of the petitioner as the Standing Counsel was extended for every three years continuously and he rendered services as the Standing Counsel till February, 2025.

3. It is submitted that for the period from December, 2019 to February, 2025, the honorarium @ Rs.30,000/- per month payable to the petitioner was not paid to the petitioner.
