JUDGMENT :

The present criminal appeal is preferred by the appellant/

accused under Section 374(2) of Cr.P.C., aggrieved by the judgment dated 18.01.2010 in CC No.12 of 2005 on the file of the learned Additional Special Judge for SPE & ACB Cases, Hyderabad wherein and where under the appellant was found guilty for the offence punishable under Sections 7 and 13(1)(d) read with Section 13(2) of Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 and was sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for two years and to pay a fine of Rs.3,000/-, in default, to suffer simple imprisonment for six months for the offence under Section 7 of PC Act and further sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment for a period of two years and to pay a fine of Rs.3,000/- in default, to undergo simple imprisonment for six months for the offence under Section 13(1)(d) read with Section 13(2) of PC Act.

2. Heard Sri Badeti Venkata Ratnam learned counsel for the appellant and Sri Vishal Gandhi, learned counsel representing Sri T.Balamohan Reddy, learned special public prosecutor and standing counsel for the respondent/ACB.
