JUDGMENT:

This MACMA is filed under Section 173 of M.V.Act, 1988 by the Appellant/The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation /respondent No.2 against the Award and decree passed by the Chairman, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal-cum-I Additional Chief Judge, City Civil Court at Secunderabad, (hereinafter referred to ‘learned Tribunal’) in M.V.O.P.No.506 of 2016, dated 31.05.2019, wherein claimant filed the claim petition under Section 166 of M.V.Act seeking compensation of Rs.15,00,000/- for the injuries sustained by the petitioner in a motor vehicle accident that took place on 17.10.2016. 2. For the sake of convenience, the parties will be hereinafter referred to as they are arrayed before the Tribunal.

The brief fact of the case is that the claimant filed M.V.O.P.No.506 of 2016 under Section 166(1)(a) of the M.V.Act, 1988 seeking compensation for the injuries received in a motor vehicle accident alleged to have occurred on 17.10.2016 when the petitioner was travelling in RTC bus bearing No.AP 11 Z 6455 at about 3:30 p.m., while the petitioner was getting down from RTC bus at Madinaguda Bus Stop, on National Highway-9 Raod, Madinag
