ORDER:

With the consent of both the parties, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2. Heard Mr. Kadaru Prabhakar Rao, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Government Pleader for Services-I, appearing for respondent Nos.2, 4 and 5, and Mr. M.P.K. Aditya, learned Standing Counsel for TVVP, appearing for respondent No.3. Perused the material on record.

3. Brief facts of the case are that the petitioner has qualified Intermediate and belongs to the Scheduled Caste community. Considering the petitioner’s qualification and experience, respondent No.5 selected her as an Asha Worker and deputed her to serve under respondent No.6 Hospital on 29.01.2008, allotting her the area of Kanchera Bazar, 18^th Ward, P.P. Unit. The petitioner diligently performed her duties, including door-to-door visits to pregnant women, distribution of medicines, participation in health and vaccination programmes, and conducting general health surveys. The petitioner also attended training camps conducted by the respondent authorities in the field of medical care and welfare schemes. Initially, she was paid honorarium based on the number of attendees, which was later regularised at Rs.6,000/- per month from the year 2014 and subsequently enhanced to Rs.9,900/- from the year 2022.

4. In the year 2020, the petitioner contracted COVID-19 and could not attend her duties for more than a year due to ill health and quarantine. She submitted several representations dated 20.06.2023, 11.03.2024, 02.12.2024, and 30.04.2025 seeking reinstatement into service, but no action has been taken by the respondents. The petitioner’s service profile is still active under her NCD Logging Code, and the post of Asha Worker at 18^th Ward, Girinagar, Kanchera Bazar, Suryapet, remains vacant, though it is reliably learnt that the respondents are attempting to appoint another person in her place. Despite her long and dedicated service without any complaints, the petitioner’s request for reinstatement has remained unaddressed. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed the present Writ Petition.

5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that appropriate orders be passed in this Writ Petition, directing the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner on

30.04.2025 and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law.

6. Learned Government Pleader for Services-I submits that he has no objection for consideration of the representation of the petitioner dated 30.04.2025.

7. Taking into consideration the submissions made by the learned counsel for the respective parties, without going into the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of, directing the respondent authorities to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 30.04.2025, and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel, miscellaneous applications pending, if any, in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
