ORDER

This writ petition is filed by the petitioner seeking to declare the action of the respondents in not considering his letters/representations dated 16.10.2022 for payment of legal fees, as being illegal and arbitrary.

2. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Putta Krishna Reddy, learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent Nos.2 to 49.

3. The petitioner was appointed as Standing Counsel for the respondents on 01.04.2015 in the High Court for the State of Telangana and continued till 10.10.2022. It is stated that after completion of his term, the petitioner has addressed separate letters/representations dated 16.10.2022 and 18.10.2022 to the respondents, giving details of the cases he appeared on their behalf and his entitlement for legal fees. The petitioner had been pursuing with the respondents for payment of legal fees towards services rendered by him. The following is the amount entitled by the petitioner towards legal fees from the respective Municipalities/Corporations.

As there is inordinate delay on the part of respondent authorities in considering his representation, he is constrained to approach this Court.

4. Learned Standing Counsel appearing for respondent Nos.2 to 49 submitted that the representations of the petitioner will be considered as expeditiously as possible.

5. Recording the aforesaid submission of the learned standing counsel for the respondents, the writ petition is disposed of, directing respondent Nos.2 to 49 to consider the representations of the petitioner dated 16.10.2022 and 18.10.2022, for payment of legal fees towards services rendered by him, and pass orders, as expeditiously as possible, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous applications, if any, pending in this writ petition stand closed.
