This Criminal Petition is filed seeking to fix a time frame for disposal of C.C.No.21 of 2020 on the file of the Judicial First Class Magistrate at Sirpur-T.

2. Heard Mr.V.S.Rao, learned counsel representing Mr.A.Venkata Durga Rao, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.M.Ramachandra Reddy, learned Additional Public Prosecutor for respondent No.1.

3. Notice in respect of respondent No.2 is dispensed with solely on the ground that the petitioner has filed the present petition seeking disposal of C.C.No.21 of 2020, and she is not seeking any relief against respondent No.2. Respondent No.2 is arrayed only as a proforma respondent.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had lodged a complaint against respondent No.2 on 14.12.2019, pursuant to which Crime No.268 of 2019 was registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498-A, 324 of the Indian Penal Code, 1860, Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961. After conducting investigation and recording the statements of witnesses under Section 161 of the Cr.P.C, the Investigating Officer filed the final report on 27.12.2019. Thereafter, the learned Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Sirpur-T, took cognizance of the offences and numbered as C.C.No.21 of 2020. He further submitted that the matter is being adjourned from time to time and unless this Court fixes a time limit for conclusion of the trial and disposal of the case, the petitioner will be put to great hardship. 5. Per contra, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that several cases are pending before the trial Court and the petitioner is not entitled to seek for fixing a time limit for disposal of C.C.No.21 of

2020.

Having considered the submissions made by the respective parties, the learned Judicial First Class Magistrate at Sirpur-T, is directed to dispose of C.C.No.21 of 2020 as expeditiously as possible, since the Investigating Officer filed the final report in the year 2019. It is made clear that the parties in lis shall cooperate with the trial Court for disposal of C.C.No.21 of 2020 without seeking undue adjournments.

7. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is disposed of.

Miscellaneous applications, pending if any, shall stand closed.
