ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed with the following relief:

“…to issue a Writ, Order, Orders or Direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus, declaring the inaction of the Respondent Nos.2, 3 and 4 in conducting investigation and arresting the accused persons in FIR No.58/2017 dated 05/08/2019 on the file of 4th respondent police station which was registered basing on the petitioners complaint as illegal, arbitrary and in violation of Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India and in violation of principles of natural justice and consequently direct the respondents to conduct investigation in FIR No.58/2017 dated 05/08/2019 on the file of 4th respondent police station including arresting the accused therein forthwith and pass......”

2. None appeared on behalf of the petitioner.

3. Heard Mr.D.Pradeep, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home appearing for respondent Nos.1 to 4.

4. The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home submitted that in F.I.R. No. 58 of 2019, after due investigation, a charge sheet was filed, and the case was registered as C.C. No. 430 of 2020 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Mahaboobabad. However, during the pendency of the proceedings, the parties amicably settled their dispute before the Lok Adalat, and the offences were formally compounded by the concerned Court on 11.09.2020. Therefore, nothing further remains for adjudication in this matter, and it was prayed that the petition be dismissed.

5. I have perused the material on record.

6. The contention of the petitioners is that respondent Nos. 2 to 4 are not conducting investigation in Crime No. 58 of 2019 and are not arresting the accused persons. However, as submitted by the learned Assistant Government Pleader, the police, after due investigation, have filed the charge sheet, and the case was duly numbered as a calendar case. Since the matter has been settled and the offences compounded, all proceedings arising out of the said crime have been closed. In such circumstances, the relief sought by the petitioners has become redundant. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, pending if any, shall stand closed.
