ORDER:

This Writ Petition is filed with the following relief:

“…to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents 2 and 3 in not providing the police protection in protecting the property of the petitioner, i.e., the land of an extent of 500 square yards of plot bearing Nos.156 (part), 157 and 160 in Survey No.118, situated at Medipally Village and Mandal, Peerzadiguda Municipality, Medchal-Malkajgiri District, from unsocial elements, as illegal, arbitrary, and violation of Articles 14 and 21 of the Constitution of India, and consequently direct the respondents 2 and 3 to provide the police protection to the petitioner in protecting her property, i.e., an extent of 500 square yards of plot bearing Nos.156 (part), 157 and 160 in Survey No.118, situated at Medipally Village and Mandal, Peerzadiguda Municipality, Medchal-Malkajgiri District, from unsocial elements and pass........”

3. Heard Mr.D.Pradeep, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home.

The learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home submitted that the representation of the petitioner seeking police protection was duly acted upon, and a case was registered as Crime No. 310 of 2019. After due investigation, a charge sheet was filed, and the case was taken cognizance of as C.C. No. 3863 of 2019 on the file of the learned IV Additional Junior Civil Judge, Ranga Reddy District at L.B. Nagar. However, during the pendency of the proceedings, the parties amicably settled their disputes before the Lok Adalat, and the offences were duly compounded by the competent Court. Hence, nothing further remains for consideration in this matter, and the learned Government Pleader prayed for dismissal of the petition.

5. I have perused the material available on record.

6. The grievance of the petitioner pertains to the request for extension of police protection to safeguard her property. The developments that transpired during the pendency of this petition indicate that, pursuant to the petitioner’s representation, a crime was registered, a charge sheet was filed, and the corresponding calendar case was amicably settled before the Lok Adalat. In view of the said developments, it is evident that the grievance of the petitioner stands effectively redressed and nothing further remains for adjudication in this matter.

7. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.

Miscellaneous Petitions, pending if any, shall stand closed.
