ORDER

In this writ petition, the petitioner is challenging the action of respondent No.2 in issuing show cause notice vide No.2047/2025/A1 dt.06.01.2026, as illegal and arbitrary.

2. The petitioner was issued show cause notice dt.06.01.2026 asking him to submit explanation within ten (10) days and according to the petitioner, he has submitted explanation with all the relevant documents to the Panchayat Secretary on expiry of tenure of the Sarpanch and he does not have any record and therefore he needs some more time to submit the details.

3. Learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj appearing for respondents No.1 to 4 and 6 is also heard.

4. Having regard to the fact that writ petition does not lie against the show cause notice and that the petitioner is only seeking further time to submit his explanation, this Court deems it fit and proper to dispose of the writ petition at the admission stage with a direction to the respondents to permit the petitioner to submit his explanation within fifteen (15) days from today. If such explanation is received, the same shall be considered in accordance with law.

5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed.
