This Writ Petition is filed seeking to quash the order passed in M.P.No.21 of 2003 dated 31.05.2006, on the file of the Central Government Industrial Tribunal-Cum-

Labour Court at Hyderabad.

2. Heard Sri P.B.Vijay Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Sri Challari Nageswara Rao, learned counsel appearing for respondents.

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, it was observed that the award passed by the Labour Court in M.P.No.21 of 2003, specifically dealt with the scope of Section 33-C(2) of the Industrial Disputes Act, 1947. The Industrial Disputes Court observed as follows:

“…This tribunal cannot adjudicate dispute of entitlement or claim of the workman, it can only interpret the award of settlement on which the claim is based. The jurisdiction of this Tribunal is like that of Executing Court…"
