ORDER :

This Writ Petition is filed declaring the action of the respondents in not sanctioning/awarding Special Grade Scale, Special Ad hoc Promotion Post Scale-I, Special Ad hoc Scale-I B and Special Promotion Scale-II under automatic advancement scheme as arbitrary and illegal.

2. Heard Sri C.Sai Reddy, learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader for Services-I appearing for the respondents. With their consent, this writ petition is taken up for disposal at the admission stage.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner, who possessed the qualifications of B.A. and I.T.I. (Radio & Television), was initially appointed as Lab Attendant (Vocational) in R & TV on temporary basis. Petitioner’s name was sponsored by the Employment Exchange vide registration No.5722/83 dated 20.9.1983 and his services were regularized vide proceedings dated 16.5.1997 with effect from 1.4.1996 and became an approved probationer. Therefore, petitioner is eligible and entitled for grant of Special Grad Scale and Special Promotion Post Scale-I under automatic advancement scheme on completion of (8) and (12) years of incremental service under the said scheme. It is further submitted that the respondent No.5 sent proposals to respondent No.4 vide Letter No.032/2025 dated 25.7.2025 for sanction of said scales in favour of petitioner, however, so far no action has been taken by the respondent No.4. Therefore, petitioner seeks indulgence of this Court to direct the respondent No.4 to take an appropriate decision on the proposals sent by respondent No.5 vide letter dated 25.7.2025, within a stipulated period of time.

4. The learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents fairly submits that the proposals sent by respondent No.5 are pending with respondent No.4 and the respondent No.4 will consider and take appropriate decision on the said proposals, in accordance with law.

5. Having regard to the submissions made by the respective parties and without going into merits of the matter, the writ petition is disposed of, directing the respondent No.4 to take an appropriate decision on the proposals sent by respondent No.5 vide Letter No.032/2025 dated 25.7.2025, strictly in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. As a sequel, the miscellaneous applications, if any, shall stand closed.

There shall be no order as to costs.
