This Criminal Revision Case is filed under Sections 438 and 442 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short ‘the BNSS’) by the petitioner/accused No.1 seeking to set aside the order dated 16.01.2026 passed in Crl.A.No.1305 of

2024 by the II Additional Sessions Judge at Hyderabad.

2. The brief facts of the case are that the petitioner was convicted by the VII Judicial Magistrate of First Class at Hyderabad vide order dated 13.08.2024 in C.C.NI.No.17487 of 2022 for the offence punishable under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, and was sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment for a period of six months and also sentenced to pay an amount of Rs.3,25,000/-.
